Ten years of shooting cars, on three continents.
Director of photography, editor, and the guy who used to run marketing for a used-vehicle dealer.
I picked up a camera at 14 and never really put it down.
By 17 I was building motion graphics for an animation studio. By 20 I was directing photography on commercial shoots for Mercedes-Benz, Chevrolet, Mitsubishi and Vespa in Vietnam — the kind of days that start at 4 a.m. so the light hits the hood right.
Then I spent two years in Singapore running marketing for Bell Auto, a used-vehicle dealer. That is the part most photographers never see: how a listing actually sells. Which frame stops the scroll. Why a consistent inventory set moves units faster than one hero shot. What the sales team needs in hand on Monday morning.
I studied marketing at Portland Community College and I am based here now, doing the same work for dealers, shops and private sellers around the metro. I shoot on location, and my editing team turns files around overnight.
